My AA1 dual boots between XP and Ubuntu. There are some hardware issues with Ubuntu out of the box but there are easy solutions available. After updating the kernel I forgot how I got the wifi going again.
Luckily, I found an official Acer Aspire One Ubuntu support reference on the Ubuntu Community website..
