The new Underbelly series will go back in time…
Nobody likes reaching the end of a good TV series knowing that there’s no more - it’s over. I felt this way after watching the last episode of Underbelly - which I obviously watched when I was interstate. Of course, I was thinking to myself “Darn! There won’t be a second season because we’ve reached the present.” Luckily, I am small minded and didn’t even consider the possiblity of a prequel.
Earlier this month, it was confirmed! There will be an Underbell prequel. Channel Nine’s A Current Affair program ran some cross promotion (surprise) on the new series, claiming “the [new] Underbelly series [will go] back in time, to see how the killers and crooks of today learned their trade before engaging in their own murderous dynasty.”
